Jimmy Kimmel To Appear On ‘Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Stephen Colbert is set to be one of Jimmy Kimmel’s guests when he takes his emboldened ABC show to Brooklyn next week.

It turns out that it’s part of a double crossover that will also see Kimmel join The Late Show as a guest.

Kimmel will appear on The Late Show on Tuesday, September 30 with pop star Sam Smith also set as a guest.

Colbert will join Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which is taking its show from the El Capitan to the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House, on the same night.

JKL! has lined up a splashy list of guests that also includes Emily Blunt, Tom Hanks, Josh Johnson, Spike Lee, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kumail Nanjiani, Ryan Reynolds, Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White.

Next week on The Late Show, Conan O’Brien is set to appear on Monday, September 29. It will be his latest late-night appearance after he made his debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers in June.

It’s clear that all of the late-night hosts have something to talk about after Colbert’s show was canceled by CBS a couple of months ago, and Kimmel just went through a rather strange experience where his show was pulled after political and local affiliate threats before he came back earlier this week with a ratings-smashing show.

Julia Roberts and Lady Gaga round out the week for Colbert, with the After the Hunt star appearing on Wednesday, October 1 and the pop star sitting down on Thursday, October 2.
