Jimmy Kimmel took a break from taking a break for something he normally does at work: trolling President Donald Trump.
Kimmel, who is on vacation from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” through Labor Day, posted a photo on Instagram showing himself and his family holding signs while attending a protest against the president.
“Summer family vacation! #goodtrouble,” he wrote. “May every day be another wonderful secret.”
That’s a reference to a birthday message Trump allegedly wrote in 2003 to his then-friend Jeffrey Epstein, who would later be convicted of sex crimes.
“Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” Trump supposedly wrote inside the hand-drawn outline of a naked woman, The Wall Street Journal reported last week.
Trump denied that he wrote the message and is suing over the Journal’s article.
Given Kimmel’s hashtag, the protest was likely part of “Good Trouble Lives On,” a series of nationwide actions held last Thursday, the fifth anniversary of the death of civil rights icon and former Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.).
Kimmel’s show is being hosted by a series of guests while he’s away for the summer. He’s occasionally posted pics from his time off on his Instagram page ― including the image from last week’s protest:
