Jennifer Lawrence has been outspoken against Donald Trump in the past, but she’s been silent on politics lately and there’s a reason.
The 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress is explaining why she has stopped talking publicly about her political stance.

While speaking with The New York Times in an interview published this weekend, Jennifer was asked to comment on politics and she declined
“I don’t really know if I should. The first Trump administration was so wild and just, how can we let this stand? I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. But as we’ve learned, election after election, celebrities do not make a difference whatsoever on who people vote for,” she told the outlet.
Jennifer added, “So then what am I doing? I’m just sharing my opinion on something that’s going to add fuel to a fire that’s ripping the country apart. We are so divided.”
Back in 2016, Jennifer wrote an open letter to the world after Trump‘s victory and she also spoke out against his travel ban in early 2017.
