Jason Kelce’s 7-word response to spitting incident between Dak Prescott, Jalen Carter originally appeared on The Sporting News
Jason Kelce can be expected to take the side of any Philadelphia Eagles player in a dustup with a member of the Dallas Cowboys, and that’s exactly what he did on the evening of the NFL’s opening game.

Kelce took to X, formerly Twitter, to weigh in on the spitting incident between Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter and Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, when the NBC broadcast showed only Carter spitting on Prescott’s chest, there seemed to be no defense of the Eagles’ former first-round pick.
But once the video of Prescott spitting toward Carter emerged, Kelce was quick to point out that Prescott started the back-and-forth.
The post had over 6.7 million views, 72,000 likes, and 6,300 retweets by Friday morning.
Before the second video emerged of Prescott spitting, Kelce was incredulous about a chaotic start of the game that saw the Eagles’ best defensive player get ejected before playing a single play.

“What in the f**k just happened[?]” Kelee posted.
Kelce continued to opine on the incident by calling it the “most wild start to an NFL season of all time. First play of the game, one player is carted off, the other ejected. I mean[,] everyone knows you don’t spit, you swallow [obviously].”
The Eagles beat the Cowboys 24-20. Prescott threw for 188 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.
