Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts isn’t thinking about that Super Bowl title the team won back in February.
Hurts spoke with the media and was not shy about sharing his thoughts on the Super Bowl. While he was happy to win it all, the focus is strictly on the 2025 season.
“I’ve moved on.”
“It’s a new journey. Regardless of whether you win a championship or lose a championship, the next year you have to be able to reset.”

Hurts is doing what he does best: focus on the present
This is why Eagles fans defend Hurts to the death when people trash him in the media or other fan bases. His mentality of being a winner at all costs is something that makes him special compared to other quarterbacks.
Everyone was so focused on his ESPN quarterback ranking when NFL personnel ranked him ninth among quarterbacks. The ranking was justified by the fact that Hurts threw under 3,000 yards and only had 18 touchdowns during the 2024 season.
Fans don’t need to be explained for the 100th time why Hurts’ ranking is not justified, but the one unmistakable fact that everyone ignores is that he’s a winner. He’s 46-20 as the starting quarterback in the regular season and 6-3 in the postseason.
It’s amazing to think about how Hurts has been able to lead his team to victory time after time. The excuses are always that he has a great supporting cast around him. Well, let’s face it, every Super Bowl/playoff team has a good supporting cast around a quarterback, and they shouldn’t be punished for it.
While Eagles fans want to continue the party after winning the Super Bowl, it’s good to at least see that Hurts has the right mentality going into training camp. Most players on the team have been echoing the same sentiments throughout the first day of practice.
