There’s nothing I love more than free e-books, which is why I’m a big fan of Stuff Your Kindle Day, a promotional event that takes place periodically, and the latest is centered around science fiction, known as Something Strange.
Indie Author Central hosts this particular event, and there appear to be 55 separate titles to choose from, all of which are either free or discounted, with most options available on the Kindle store, but also a few on Kobo’s (for all of you ePub lovers out there). So if you have a science fiction itch this summer, now’s the time to load up on a plethora of e-books for your favorite e-reader.

Running until July 18th, this particular Stuff Your Kindle Day features an abundance of science fiction titles to choose from, and like past events, these offerings come from indie authors as a way to promote their works. What’s especially nice is that Indie Author Central offers a variety of sorting options, allowing you to easily drill down to your interests, say, if you’re looking for age-appropriate content for your family.
Of course, if you couldn’t tell by the name of the event, your choices are available on the Kindle e-book store, but luckily, more than a few titles are also offering Kobo versions, ranging from free to discounted. This way, readers aren’t beholden to Amazon if they don’t want to be, and there are filters to drill down to the free titles for both Kindle and Kobo, which certainly takes the work out of the hunt.
All in all, if you are a bookhound like me and hungry for some new reads to fill the summer months, what’s better than dipping into a handful of science fiction titles to while away the hours? No matter your tastes, there’s likely a free e-book or two that’ll strike your fancy when there are so many to choose from. So don’t let the latest Stuff Your Kindle Day pass you by, and don’t forget you don’t have to be a Kindle user to participate. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get reading. Enjoy!
