There’s a new royal wedding afoot, and no, we’re not talking about Taylor and Travis. A year after divorcing her husband via Instagram, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of the ruler of Dubai, has apparently found love again … with French Montana.

On Friday, the Princess of Dubai and the rapper revealed they’d gotten engaged on — you guessed it — Instagram. In a joint post, they showed off Sheikha Mahra’s finger with an absolutely enormous diamond on it.

Their confirmation comes after TMZ broke the news on Wednesday, reporting that they got engaged during Paris Fashion Week in June. They first sparked dating rumors in October 2024, when she shared photos on social media of her showing French Montana around Dubai. Per Complex, the images showed them dining at the Four Seasons Resort and riding camels at a luxury desert resort. Sounds like a great first date. The two never publicly confirmed their relationship before Friday but have been spotted together a few times over the past year; about a month ago, Sheikha Mahra posted a photo of the two of them at Disney World, posing in front of Cinderella’s castle. It’s now saved as a highlight.

The engagement is an exciting turn of events for the princess, who seemingly accused her husband of cheating and announced she was divorcing him on Instagram last year. Last July — just over a year into her marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, and two months after they welcomed their first child — the princess wrote in a post, “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you,” she said, invoking the Muslim rule of triple talaq, which lets men divorce their wives by stating “I divorce you” three times. “Take care, your ex-wife,” she signed off the post. She then released her own perfume called — what else? — Divorce.

Here’s to hoping the princess and her Prince Charming get the happily ever after they deserve. If not, there’s always Instagram.
