Intel’s 12th, 13th, and 14th-gen processors are quickly rising in prices in various parts of the world, and it’s mostly affecting the budget segment processors.
After Japan, South Korea Also Witnesses a Surge in Intel’s LGA 1700 Processor Prices; the Core i3 14100F Price Rose by 15%
It was recently reported that Intel has been increasing the prices for its 13th and 14th gen processors in Japan, which made processors like Core i5 14400F hike by around 20% in prices in less than a month. Compared to September, the prices for several of Raptor Lake/Refresh CPUs have gone quite high, but mostly affected the budget-tier SKUs.
Once again, we are seeing the same phenomenon in another country. This time, it’s South Korea, which is witnessing a noticeable price hike for 12th, 13th, and 14th-generation processors, according to Danawa, which collects product listings from multiple online retailers and is a popular price-comparison aggregator site.
Starting with the 12th generation, the budget Core i5 12400F processor is now up by 11%. The CPU was selling for 159K Won, but is now selling for 159K Won. The Core i3 13400F also saw a roughly 14% price hike in less than three weeks, and we are witnessing the same with many others. Core i3 14100F is now at 140K Won, a 15% price hike compared to last month.
Core i5 14600KF increased by 13%, but the Core i5 14400F saw a smaller 6% price hike. There are still some SKUs that aren’t seeing such price surges. Core i7 13700K is still around the same price as it was in September. Core i3 13100F didn’t see a price hike as well, and neither did the Core i5 12600K or i7 12700K. However, the Core i9 12900K saw a steep price hike in the last week, going from 967K Won to nearly 1.25M Won. This is nearly a staggering 30% price increase.
We expect more price hikes in the coming weeks, and the prices may also increase for currently unaffected SKUs. As far as prices in the NA region are concerned, we aren’t seeing the same trend, and CPUs are still selling for around the same prices as in the previous month.

- Core i5 12400F: 159,140 Won -> 177,290 Won (+11%)
- Core i5 13400F: 210,430 Won -> 240,000 Won (+14%)
- Core i5 14400F: 209,000 Won -> 235,650 Won (+6%)
- Core i5 14600KF: 263,400 Won -> 298,710 Won (+13%)
- Core i7 13900K: 967,000 Won -> 1,251,900 Won (+29%)
