An up-and-coming presenter who recently sat down with Prince Harry has disclosed what the Royal was truly like behind closed doors.
Dylan Bleach, a WellChild award recipient, was granted the chance to conduct an exclusive one-on-one interview with the Duke of Sussex during his trip to the UK.
Following his arrival in Britain, Harry made an appearance at the WellChild Awards, a charitable gathering honoring the bravery of severely ill youngsters and their caregivers. It comes after ‘disturbed’ Prince William got angry with Meghan Markle over the missing Princess Diana diamonds.
During a chat with Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid, Dylan shared his experience interviewing the Duke, describing him as an ordinary person just like anyone else.
Ed highlighted Harry’s demeanor when Dylan posed a particular question, noting: “There was a moment there when you had a question for Harry and he was totally engaged in the conversation.”
Showering Harry with compliments, Dylan replied: “It felt so natural. He’s very much a human being like me and you are. Once I’d asked him the three questions about WellChild, he was talking about the unpredictability of the WellChild children, how he’d had a swordfight that evening and all of these fantastic and funny stories.”
Dylan disclosed that he is anticipating the arrival of a son in just a few weeks and seized the moment to seek Harry’s guidance on fatherhood, which the Duke provided.
The hosts praised Dylan for securing the “scoop” which Susanna predicted would be picked up by numerous media organizations.
She shared: “What you managed to get was a real insight into Prince Harry as a dad because he said parenting starts before the baby is born, and that’s part of nurturing them and encouraging them. That will be picked up everywhere.”
Reid mentioned that Monday would have been a difficult day for Prince Harry as it was the anniversary of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who died on that day in 2022.
She added that despite Harry not being able to bring his own children to the UK due to the intense scrutiny he faces, he spoke about parenting with such “love and affection” and the children at WellChild to Dylan.
He responded: “I think WellChild brings the child out in him and it reminds him of his children in a sense. I think he enjoys the night to be normal and forget about the problems that are going on.
“He mentioned in his speech that sometimes the darkness of the world can swallow you up, but the brightness in the room last night is what keeps some people going.”
Harry has been at loggerheads with his family for some time and the feud was only exacerbated following the release of his bombshell memoir Spare in 2023.
But hopes for a possible royal reconciliation were sparked earlier in the summer, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s aides were spotted having a meeting in London with those of King Charles. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case as Harry had no reported interaction with his family members, despite being just miles apart.
It comes after King Charles was reduced to tears after overhearing Prince William’s private conversation.
