HUNTR/X’s ‘Golden’ Returns to No. 1 on Global Charts

HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” from the soundtrack to the hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters, rebounds a spot to No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. Two weeks earlier, the song became the first leader on each list for the act, whose music is voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI.

HUNTR/X also earns its second Global Excl. U.S. top 10 as “How It’s Done” rises 12-10. On the Global 200, it lifts 9-7 for a new best.

Plus, Faheem Abdullah’s “Saiyaara” debuts at No. 10 on the Global 200 and blasts 177-4 on Global Excl. U.S. His first top 10 on the charts is from the Hindi-language movie of the same name that premiered July 18.

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, which began in September 2020 rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.

Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

“Golden” crowns the Global 200 with 98.5 million streams (up 20% week-over-week) and 8,000 sold (up 26%) worldwide July 18-24.

Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” rebounds 4-2 on the Global 200 after 10 weeks on top beginning in May, while two songs that debuted a week earlier descend: BLACKPINK’s “Jump,” down to No. 3 from the summit, and Justin Bieber’s “Daisies,” which dips 3-4.

Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” — also from KPop Demon Hunters — buzzes 6-5 for a new Global 200 high, becoming the act’s second top five hit. Their “Your Idol,” down 5-6, has reached No. 3. “Soda Pop” drew 51.6 million streams (up 7%) and sold 4,000 (up 14%) in the tracking week.

Faheem Abdullah’s “Saiyaara” launches at No. 10 on the Global 200, vaulting 321% to 98 million streams and 778% to 1,000 sold worldwide. The first entry on the survey for the Indian artist also hits No. 1 on the India Songs chart.

“Golden” shines atop Global Excl. U.S.; “Jump” falls to No. 2; and “Ordinary” holds at No. 3, after eight weeks at No. 1 starting in May,

“Saiyaara” skyrockets 177-4 on Global Excl. U.S., with the bulk of its streams from outside the U.S. (96.8 million, up 320%, of its 98 million worldwide). The song makes the third-greatest leap in the chart’s history, with its 173-spot gain trailing only those of Official HIGE DANdism’s “Subtitle” (186 places; 200-14, in 2022) and BTS’ “Film Out” (182 spots; 185-3, in 2021). As on the Global 200, “Saiyaara” is Abdullah’s first Global Excl. U.S. top 10 via his first entry.

Rounding out the Global Excl. U.S. top five, “Daisies” backtracks 4-5 in its second week on the chart.

Plus, “How It’s Done” rises 12-10 to become HUNTR/X’s second Global Excl. U.S. top 10 with 29 million streams (up 5%) and 1,000 sold (up 6%) beyond the U.S.
