How to Win Tickets to the Sing-Along Screening of the Hamilton Film

The event will include appearances from Lin-Manuel Miranda and original cast members.

The 10th anniversary celebration of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton continues.

Tony-winning creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda announced on Instagram that he will host a special sing-along version of the Hamilton film September 7 at the United Palace Theatre in Manhattan.

A $10 donation to Hispanic Federation’s Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition will allow those interested to possibly win a chance to attend the screening and enjoy a VIP experience, including the opportunity to meet Miranda in person. The sing-along event will also feature other members of the original Broadway company.

The August 6 evening 10th anniversary performance of Hamilton also benefited the coalition of nonprofits that provides
immigration services and includes ACCESS (Arab Community Center for
Economic and Social Service), Alianza Americas, America’s Voice, Asian
Law Caucus, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, Haitian Bridge
Alliance, Immigration Equality, Kids in Need of Defense, National Day
Laborer Organizing Network, National Immigration Law Center, Tahirih
Justice Center, Texas Civil Rights Project, and United We Dream.

As previously reported, the Disney pro-shot of Hamilton will be released
in movie theatres September 5. Disney also
announced that this new theatrical release will include a
special “Reuniting the Revolution” prologue—new interviews with the
original cast and creators as they reflect on the impact the show has
had on their lives.

Hamilton will be released in movie theatres in the U.S.,
Canada, and Puerto Rico September 5, the U.K. and Ireland September 26,
and Australia and New Zealand November 13. Tickets can be purchased at Fandango.com/Hamilton.

“When we filmed Hamilton, we wanted to try to capture the
feeling of being in the Richard Rodgers Theatre during that first year
on Broadway,” said director/producer Thomas Kail in a statement, “and
we’re thrilled that audiences will now have the opportunity to
experience it on the big screen.”

In addition to the United Palace fundraiser, there will be another special screening of the Hamilton film September
3, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, operated by the Public
Theater. A limited number of advance tickets will be available for a
donation beginning August 11. A free ticket lottery distribution will be
available at The Public Theater September 3, as well as a free standby
line in Central Park prior to the screening’s start. All advance ticket
donations will benefit the Public Theater, where Hamilton made its world premiere in early 2015 before transferring to Broadway that summer. Visit PublicTheatre.org.

The filmed version of Hamilton was captured at The Richard
Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June 2016, right before the show’s
original cast departed. It featured Tony winner Miranda as Alexander
Hamilton; Tony winner Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Phillipa Soo as
Eliza Hamilton; Tony winner Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas
Jefferson; Tony winner Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Tony
winner Jonathan Groff as King George; Christopher Jackson as George
Washington; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds;
Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; and Anthony
Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

The film can currently be streamed on Disney+. Hamilton the stage show continues at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York.
