Full Match Card & Storylines
John Cena vs. Logan Paul
This singles match is being billed as a generational battle defining what it means to be a WWE Superstar. On the August 8 episode of SmackDown, Logan Paul challenged John Cena to a match at Clash in Paris, which Cena accepted. Paul has already earned victories over competitors like Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens in his short career. A victory over Cena would be a significant addition to his list of accomplishments. This will also be John Cena’s last appearance in France as an in-ring performer.
World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight
Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against three challengers in a Fatal 4-Way match. The match stems from Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on a newly-crowned CM Punk at SummerSlam to win the title, revealing his prior knee injury was faked. In the following weeks, Rollins and his faction, The Vision, also made enemies of Jey Uso and LA Knight. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official after numerous brawls between the four men.
Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed
Roman Reigns is set to collide with Bronson Reed in a singles match. Since aligning with Seth Rollins’s Vision faction, Reed has targeted Reigns, dismantling him on two separate occasions and stealing his sneakers, giving himself the nickname “The Tribal Thief”. After weeks of torment, Reigns roared back on the August 18 edition of Raw to confront Reed and challenge him to this match in Paris.
Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match: Sheamus vs. Rusev
The rivalry between Sheamus and Rusev will come to a head in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match. Since Rusev’s return to WWE, he and The Celtic Warrior have engaged in a series of hard-hitting matches and wild backstage brawls. After their third match ended in a double countout, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the no-rules Donnybrook match in an attempt to contain the chaos between the two competitors.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella
Becky Lynch will defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Lynch’s recent post-match beatdowns and verbal jabs have drawn the ire of Nikki Bella. The Hall of Famer laid down the challenge in England, which Lynch ultimately accepted, setting the stage for the title encounter.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) (c) vs. The Street Profits
Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis of The Wyatt Sicks will defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits. The Wyatt Sicks duo won the titles from Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford on an episode of SmackDown in July. The Street Profits have since worked their way back to the top of the tag team division, most recently defeating The Miz and Carmelo Hayes to become the No. 1 Contenders and earn this championship rematch.
