Blizzard has exclusively shared three new cards from the upcoming Hearthstone expansion Across the Timeways with TheGamer.
Twilight Timehopper, its associated card Shred of Time and the legendary creature Chronogor are all warlock cards; the class we’ve seen the fewest number of card reveals for thus far.

Battlecry: You draw your 2 highest Cost cards. Your opponent draws your 2 lowest Cost cards. |
Twilight Timehopper is a powerful 4/4 two-drop, with the obvious drawback of potentially taking six damage to your own face. It’s thematically in line with the usual warlock shtick of sacrificing health for tempo. The associated token simply deals three damage to your own hero if you’re unfortunate enough to draw it.
Chronogor is a six-drop 6/7 legendary dragon which causes you to draw your two highest cost cards, and your opponent to draw your two lowest cost cards. You can see the obvious synergy with Twilight Timehopper, which places two zero-drops in your deck, which your opponent will draw if they remain in your deck when you play Chronogor, allowing you to inadvertently deal six damage to your opponent.
The only other warlock card that’s been revealed thus far is Divergence, a five-mana spell that splits a random minion in your hand into two halves.
A Romp Across Time
Across the Timeways is centred around the bronze dragon Chronormu (Chromie), who discovers the treacherous Murozond, Lord of the Infinite, is attempting to direct all timelines towards an apocalypse. To combat Murozond, Chromie travels through time to recruit legendary heroes from Azerothian history, including from timelines that have never been seen before.
The expansion introduces two new keywords, Fabled and Rewind. With Fabled, a card will automatically slot additional synergistic cards into your deck. For example, adding Ranger General Sylvannas to one’s deck will also add Ranger Captain Alleria and Ranger Initiate Vereesa to the deck as well.
The other new mechanic, Rewind, allows you to reverse a card’s random effect if the result isn’t to your liking, and replay the card a single time. It’s essentially a built-in reroll mechanic.
Hearthstone: Across the Timeways releases November 4.
