Jairzinho Rozenstruik continues to impress away from the UFC Octagon, and many think it’s time for Dana White and co. to bring him back.
The Jon Jones co-owned Dirty Boxing promotion was back in action Friday night, with its third event taking place at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami, Florida.
11 former UFC fighters were in action, including Bryan Battle after his UFC firing and legend Hector Lombard. Their outings set the stage for a main event title fight featuring Rozenstruik, who fought 23-18-1 MMA pro Rakim Cleveland.
Rozenstruik’s shot at becoming the inaugural Dirty Boxing heavyweight king came after he debuted under the banner with a vicious one-punch knockout this past June. And ‘Bigi Boy’ certainly picked up where he left off…

Jairzinho Rozenstruik becomes first-ever Dirty Boxing heavyweight king with devastating KO
Dirty Boxing was created by ex-UFC star and BKFC brawler Mike Perry. The format permits elbows and allows ground-and-pound if an opponent is knocked down.
Rozenstruik made the most of the latter rule on Friday, as he tore through Cleveland in devastating fashion to have Dirty Boxing’s unique title design wrapped around his waist.
The finish came just under two minutes into the very first round and was set up by a left hand that appeared to see ‘Bigi Boy’ connect solely with his forearm to Cleveland’s neck area.
The American was immediately on wobbly legs and collapsed to the canvas. While traditional boxing would have seen him given time to recover, there was no such escape at DBX 3.
Rozenstruik pounced on his stricken foe and put him to sleep with one vicious ground strike, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Fans call for UFC to bring Jairzinho Rozenstruik back after latest KO away from the Octagon
Footage of Rozenstruik’s second straight knockout since being cut by the UFC quickly spread across the MMA community.
The Surinamese heavyweight’s release came as a shock to many. In addition to headlining six UFC Fight Nights during his stint in the promotion, ‘Bigi Boy’ had won two of his last three fights.
With that in mind, and given his winning run since departing, plenty of fans have been calling for the MMA leader to re-sign Rozenstruik.
“He should have never been released from the UFC.”
“Bruh how the UFC cut Rozenstruik? Especially for how shallow the heavyweight division is.”
“UFC didn’t know what they were doing cutting a guy like Rozenstruik.”
“Big mistake from the UFC.”
“PLS DANA WHITE BRING BACK JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK TO THE UFC.”
“He smokes (Tom) Aspinall.”
And some even had matchups in mind for Rozenstruik’s potential UFC return.
“Bring him back to fight Derrick Lewis.”
“Sign back to the UFC. We want the rematch (with Shamil Gaziev).”
