In a brief post today, Google is officially teasing an October 1 debut for its new Nest Cam and Gemini updates for Google Home.
Google first started teasing new Gemini updates for Home in the midst of its Pixel 10 launch event, which is also where the company teased the first new Nest speaker hardware in quite some time. In the time since, a whole new Nest hardware collection has leaked, including new Nest Cam devices.
Now, Google is giving us a timeline.
In a post on Twitter/X, Google says to “Come back October 1st” for Gemini news in Google Home. The teaser says that “Gemini is coming to Google Home.” A link on the post leads to the Google Store, which shows a generic sign-up for updates from Google’s hardware.
But this is also the first time Google is officially showing off a new generation of Nest Cam. The teaser shows a Nest Cam (presumably indoor) which doesn’t look new at first glance, but has a new design around the camera sensor. Prior leaks suggest that Google is introducing a 2K video update for Nest Cam indoor, as well as updating its outdoor camera and doorbell.
Google’s reveal is expected to include multiple new Nest Cam products, a new Gemini speaker, and quite a few updates to Google Home as related to Gemini.
