Ahead of the Pixel Watch 4 officially going on sale tomorrow, Google is rolling out Wear OS 6 to the Pixel Watch 2 and 3.
Based on Wear OS 6 and Android 16, BP3A.250905.014.W3 is rolling out to the Pixel Watch 2 and 3. This includes both the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and LTE models.
There is no update for the original wearable today, but that 2022 device should get Wear OS 6 since software updates are guaranteed until at least: October 2025.
This follows the last Pixel Watch update in June. Google moved to quarterly Wear OS releases for the Pixel Watch, but there was nothing in September (though note today’s build number).
As always, tapping the “Your watch is up to date” screen (Settings > System > System updates) multiple times initiates the download. To speed up the process, open Connectivity preferences and disable Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi.
The Pixel Watch October 2025 OTA update images can be found here.
Google today released factory and OTA images for the Pixel Watch 4, which is codenamed “menari.” Given the new Quick Charge Dock, the Pixel Watch 4 “requires a debug adapter that Google distributes by invitation only” to flash OTA images. This is like the original Watch.
This update brings the full Material 3 Expressive redesign, including the updated lockscreen keypad, Quick Settings, and notifications. Dynamic Color based on your watch face is now available on your wrist. This theming applies to notifications, Tiles, and some apps.
With this update, the redesigned Alarm, Stopwatch, and Timer apps are live to match the refreshed icons.
Visit the Play Store after installing the OTA for additional app updates to Wear Media and (Pixel) Weather.
This Wear OS 6 update does not bring the new watch faces introduced with the PW4.
