Gerry Turner is headed down the aisle again! The Golden Bachelor Season 1 star surprised everyone on October 3 when he announced to the world that he’s engaged.
The 74-year-old popped the question to his girlfriend, Lana Sutton. The Bachelor Nation alum confirmed he was dating Sutton earlier this year, just over a year after divorcing his Golden Bachelor winner Theresa Nist.
“We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I Love this woman,” Turner captioned an Instagram post.
The reality star shared sweet photos that included Sutton showing off her massive engagement ring. The engaged couple posed for photos on the beach, with Sutton putting her ring hand on Turner’s chest. They celebrated their exciting news at a beach bar.

“BIG announcement……we’re ENGAGED!💍🎉❤️ The Golden Bachelor Season 1 led me to the man of my dreams…..Gerry Turner!!! I love you, Babe, more than I ever thought possible! We are perfect together! I am so proud of US as a couple,” Sutton wrote on Instagram.
Turner and Sutton didn’t reveal when they are planning to wed. He was previously married to his first wife, Toni Turner, for 43 years until she died in 2017. He met and fell in love with Nist on The Golden Bachelor. They married just months after the season wrapped in a live TV wedding.
In April 2024, just a few months after their wedding, Nist and Turner shocked everyone when they announced they were divorcing. Later that year, Turner revealed that he had been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.
Back in April 2025, Turner admitted that he wasn’t sure if he would say “I do” again after his second marriage. He told People that he didn’t know “that either of us necessarily would be looking to get married, but we’ve also said that’s not off the table.”
The couple started dating in March 2025 after she messaged him on Facebook. Just seven months later, they’re engaged!
Turner is gearing up to release his memoir, Golden Years, on November 4. Over the last several months, Turner and Sutton have been traveling the world and living life to the fullest.
