Gigi Hadid shared a sweet tribute to her younger sister Bella Hadid on her Instagram Stories in celebration of her 29th birthday on Thursday, Oct. 9.
The supermodel, 30, shared several slides of photos from the present and past with heartfelt text on each image. The sisters were featured in five pictures, while Bella and Gigi’s 5-year-old daughter, Khai, were in a sixth.
“It’s @bellahadid day,” read the first caption over a throwback photo of a young Gigi and Bella, who were seen from the back sitting in orange and white swimsuits with matching scarves wrapped around their heads.

“She’s our walking heart,” the second caption read over a black-and-white photo of Gigi and Bella smiling alongside each other that appears to have been snapped in recent years.
“Must protect her at all costs,” the model wrote of her little sister over another throwback shot of the siblings cuddled up to each other from when they were toddlers.
“You better be nice in the comments,” read a fourth caption penned over a photo of Gigi and Bella hugging one another in similar white dresses that were accessorized with coordinating floral headbands.

“Most loving (and spoiling) auntie (and sister),” Gigi wrote of Bella, picturing a shot of the birthday girl clad in cowgirl attire while holding what appears to be her niece Khai (whom Gigi shares with ex-partner Zayn Malik) in the photo.
“Happy birthday! I love you so much!” Gigi wrote of her fashion-forward sister in a black-and-white slide that pictured the dynamic duo smiling alongside one another.

It’s been a busy few days for Bella in the lead-up to her birthday, where she made her return to the runway at Paris Fashion Week after her hospitalization for Lyme disease.
The Orebella creator sparked health concerns after posting an Instagram update with pictures of her appearing to be in the hospital on Sept. 17.
“I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys,” she wrote in her Instagram caption at the time.
Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, then confirmed with her own post that Bella had been undergoing treatment for Lyme disease, which Bella was diagnosed with at age 16.

Bella was spotted for the first time since her treatment on Sept. 24 in Paris. She appeared to be in good spirits and looked chic as ever when she was photographed in a brown trench coat and sunglasses with a Coach Tabby bag.
On Sept. 29, Bella walked in the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show — and her supportive sister Gigi praised her strut in the comment section of an Instagram post shared by the model upon her return to the runway.
“An absolute serve,” the mom of one commented on a series Bella’s photos.
