Gavin Newsom’s Taunt Gets In The Face Of Trump Border Czar Over Mask Refusal

The Republican-trolling Democrat, who’s being talked up for the 2028 presidential race, turned his mockery on Trump border czar Tom Homan this time.

Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty asked Homan on Wednesday what his response was to Newsom’s new California law requiring ICE agents and other enforcement in the state to be without masks.

“Good luck with that,” Homan replied.

Newsom’s press office had a message for Homan.

“What if we give you another $50,000 in a paper bag?” the office wrote on X.

House and Senate Democrats this week reportedly launched investigations into Trump’s Justice Department scuttling a bribery probe of Homan. He was accused of taking a paper bag with $50,000 from FBI agents posing as business executives, hoping to secure government contracts if Trump won the 2024 election.

On Fox News this week, Homan said he did nothing wrong or illegal, but did not appear to deny receiving money from a federal agent. The White House also now says he didn’t do anything wrong instead of refuting the allegation that he accepted a bag of cash.

Newsom signed the mask law on Saturday, but acting U.S. attorney Bill Essayli told CBS that he directed agents to ignore it when it goes into effect.
