Steve Garcia has now won seven fights in a row, and picked up a quick finish in his first octagon main event.
Garcia faced David Onama in the headliner of UFC Vegas 110 in a pivotal featherweight clash, and it was one-way traffic from the opening bell. “Mean Machine” just overwhelmed Onama immediately with pace, pressure, and combinations. Despite Onama’s corner picking up a tell on Garcia halfway through the opening round, it didn’t matter as Garcia hurt Onama with a big shot, and eventually got the stoppage after pouring it on.
Onama’s win streak is halted at four fights, while Garcia now has six straight wins in the featherweight division. After the win, Garcia called for a fight with Max Holloway for the “BMF” title, and that was a stunner considering how unlikely it will be that he gets it.
