‘Gamer chat,’ not terror plot, prompted FBI raid on Dearborn man, attorney said
FBI agents were present in Dearborn, on Middlepointe Street and Moross Friday, Oct. 31, conducting law enforcement operations.
Federal officials confirmed the activity was part of a broader investigation that, according to FBI Director Kash Patel, stopped what agents described as a “potential terrorist attack” planned in Michigan over the Halloween weekend. | Fuad ShalhoutFuad Shalhout — MLive.com

DEARBORN, MI — An attorney for a man reportedly being held in connection with a thwarted terrorist plot claims no such plan existed.

“Maybe some online chatter, maybe some online activity that may have been worrisome to federal law enforcement, but no plot coming out of these young men, these teenage boys out of Dearborn,” said Amir Makled, who says he represents one of those arrested.
