Fortunately, the company has been rumored to jump from the 45W charging limit and adopt 60W on the upcoming flagship, meaning that the time required to fully top up the cell will be reduced substantially. One tipster now claims it will take 30 minutes for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to reach 80 percent of its total charge.

On Weibo, Ice Universe has commented on the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s impressive fast charging capabilities as it is seemingly able to take its battery from 0 percent to between 75-80 percent in just 30 minutes. Based on ChargerLAB’s comprehensive testing of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the latter’s battery went from 0-80 percent in 37 minutes and took a total of 1 hour and 22 minutes to reach a full charge. Compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the 60W charging upgrade does bring some much-needed improvements.
However, it is not uncommon to see these charging patterns, where smartphones’ batteries allow a tidal wave of wattage to boost their capacity, then slowly taper off and take longer to reach that 100 percent mark. While this might seem frustrating, this entire process is deliberate and allows users to get the most out of their Galaxy S26 Ultra when it comes to overall battery life. Implementing an improved version of fast charging is beneficial when you have nearly run out of battery and want a quick top-off if you have to reach somewhere quickly.
While the tipster has been correct most of the time regarding Samsung’s smartphone launches, their specifications, and the features they ship with, it is always important to treat rumors with a pinch of salt.
