Galaxy S26 Pro renders leak with familiar design, bigger display

While the Galaxy S26 Edge — and its unabashedly iPhone 17 Pro-esque camera bump — is bound to soak up plenty of the attention at next year’s Galaxy Unpacked event, it’s just one of the three new smartphones we expect Samsung to launch. Now we’re getting a fresh look at the Galaxy S26 Pro set to overtake the usual standard model, but despite the refreshed branding, the overall design is anything but.

Noted leaker OnLeaks, paired with the folks at Android Headlines, has returned a few days after sharing renders of the S26 Edge to show off Samsung’s next entry-level flagship, but unlike with that device, what we’re seeing here looks pretty familiar. Despite the new suffix, the Galaxy S26 Pro’s biggest design tweak appears to be a refreshed camera bump. No, it’s not moving to that unwobble-able rectangle seen on the Edge; rather, like we’ve seen with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it’s adopting an elevated pill-shaped module similar to what shipped on this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.

That shouldn’t be too surprising. Samsung loves to unify its design language across product categories, and with the secluded lens look beginning to feel fairly well-tread — having initially shipped on the Galaxy S22 Ultra nearly four years ago — clearly, the brand sees this generation as the perfect time for a change. Keeping the Edge as an ultra-thin outlier makes some kind of sense, though it won’t stop the company’s other phones from their ongoing wobble issues.

The other big change is something not easily shown off in renders: a bigger display. Like the iPhone 17, Samsung is increasing the display size on its smallest flagship, though not quite to the degree of Apple. The Galaxy S26 Pro will include a 6.3-inch display in place of its predecessor’s 6.2-inch screen, complete with the usual minimal bezels to allow for as small a chassis as possible. It’s unlikely to be particularly noticeable in practice, but simultaneously, it should bring the company in line with devices from both Apple and Google.

Android Headlines says its dimensions measure in at 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm — that’s about 2.5mm taller and nearly a full millimeter wider than its predecessor, though notably, it’s also around 2mm thinner. Unfortunately, that camera bump appears to extend its full width to about 10mm, again pointing towards some instability when laid flat on a table without a case.
