A new type of musical collab is coming to Fortnite this weekend as the Daft Punk Experience arrives to give you control of the EDM duo’s musical and visual discography.
Daft Punk is coming to Fortnite in its own world designed for interaction and exploration, and its Grand Opening is set to swing open its gates in style.
Fortnite has spat players out on the other side of the 37.31 update, which means one thing and one thing above all else – it’s time to dive into the Fortnite Daft Punk Experience. Normally, players would take the arrival of something like this in their stride and simply keep playing the modes they’re interested in, maybe popping their head in to see what’s going on, but this is different.
The promises that Epic Games has made about this immense collaboration are big – rather than opting for a live event, the team is offering an interactive experience that will let players blast bots, remix tracks, re-record classic music videos and more. It’s an incredibly exciting and unique twist on what Fortnite usually offers to its new musical collaborators, and it does largely overshadow the Gorillaz skins in Fortnite Festival’s current season, but players are nonetheless excited to get stuck in, and as it won’t be leaving Fortnite for some time, we’ve clearly got a long time to experience what it has to offer.

The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience start time is set to host its Grand Opening at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST on Saturday, September 27. We first explored this time when we took a look at the Daft Punk crossover, and the event is set to introduce the Fortnite Daft Punk Experience, which will stick around for some time afterwards.
Don’t panic too much about not getting to try the experience if you miss the Grand Opening, as even though this is an event that could well be worth watching, the Daft Punk Experience will stick around for a while afterwards, so you’ll get to dance and DJ your way through it providing you plan to play the game soon-ish.
