We’re now getting into Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season, so it’s time to start thinking about trades, especially regarding underperforming players.
On this page, we’re going to take a look at five players who were selected in the first seven rounds of drafts who are failing to meet expectations. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the Panic Meter after Week 6.
Fantasy Football Panic Meter: Week 6
DJ Moore (WR – CHI)
It’s time to panic on DJ Moore completely. I came into the season thinking that the veteran was in line for a bounce-back year, but he’s clearly behind Rome Odunze in the pecking order. Additionally, we’re likely to see rookie Luther Burden continue to command more snaps, as he’s looked impressive in limited action so far.
With Moore averaging only 7.5 half-PPR points per game (WR49), it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen this year for him. The best you can hope for is a trade at the deadline, but that feels unlikely, given the Bears’ 3-2 record. My suggestion would be to use Moore’s big name in a package, perhaps adding a smaller piece to acquire someone like Josh Downs.

Kenneth Walker (RB – SEA)
Kenneth Walker continues to share the Seahawks’ backfield with Zach Charbonnet, even though he’s been the more efficient runner. This has become a season-long trend, so we can’t stubbornly hope for a change right now.
That means we need to consider Walker as a volatile Flex option every week, which is much worse than we expected at his fourth-round average draft position (ADP) coming into the year. If you can trade Walker for someone like Jacory Croskey-Merritt, I’d make the move. Croskey-Merritt has been inconsistent, but he’s an efficient runner who has taken over the Commanders’ backfield, unlike Walker, who’s in a committee.

Alvin Kamara (RB – NO)
Alvin Kamara is currently averaging 9.8 fantasy points per game in half-PPR formats, which ranks as the RB30 on the season. With Kendre Miller earning more of a role and being the more efficient runner, it’s hard to feel confident about Kamara right now.
The one reason to hold him and avoid selling low is the slight chance that he’s moved at the deadline. However, you can take the alternative view to that and use it as your last chance to sell for some value. If you can ship Kamara with another asset for a short-term fix like Rachaad White, I’d make the move.

Travis Etienne (RB – JAX)
Travis Etienne has fizzled out after a hot start, failing to eclipse eight half-PPR fantasy points in the last two weeks. However, he’s still getting most of the work in the Jaguars backfield, so I wouldn’t worry too much about him.
With that said, I’ve personally looked to pair Etienne with another asset to try to acquire Breece Hall in the hope that he gets traded from the Jets. Etienne is playing well enough to potentially get that trade “through the hoop,” so to speak.
Verdict: 5 out of 10 on the Panic Meter
Jakobi Meyers (WR – LV)
Jakobi Meyers came into the season as an underrated wideout who continually gets disrespected in fantasy drafts, despite strong production. But it just hasn’t happened this year, as Meyers is averaging only 7.9 points per game in half-PPR (WR39).
The worst part about this poor production is that it’s come without Brock Bowers in the lineup. The hope would be that this was a time for Meyers to shine, but it’s been the exact opposite. That puts him at 10 out of 10 on the Panic Meter.
