‘Extremely Greedy’ Fergie’s New Home Revealed After Andrew Was Evicted From Royal Lodge—Here’s if They’ll Still Live Together

The Andrew drama has escalated dramatically in the past few days. We went from him giving up his title and honors to Buckingham Palace announcing he would be losing the honorific of Prince, and he would be evicted from Royal Lodge. But he’s not the only one who was living at Royal Lodge; his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also was. So, what does the new announcement mean for her?

People is now reporting that Ferguson will move into a new home of her own after the two have been asked to surrender the lease to their longtime residence. “She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” a source told the outlet. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,” the source added. “She will continue to forge an independent life.”

Reportedly, Ferguson is unlikely to relocate to Sandringham, where Andrew will be living from here on out. Reports indicate his future accommodation will be privately funded by King Charles. Andrew and Fergie are expected to leave Royal Lodge as soon as possible.

Just recently, The Sun reported that the disgraced royal had made demands to vacate his current home. He reportedly wanted Frogmore Cottage, which used to be the home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for himself and Adelaide Cottage, the home Prince William and Kate Middleton are about to move out of, for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Andrew and Fergie married in 1986, separated in 1992, and divorced in 1996, but the two have remained close. Andrew moved into his current home of Royal Lodge in 2003, with Ferguson joining him there in 2008. But the decision to live together wasn’t about affection, according to the Daily Mail.

“It’s lucrative for both of them to be together,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet, explaining that the “mutually advantageous” agreement has allowed both of “them to live at a certain level.”

Fergie once boasted to the Financial Times in 2021 that she and Andrew were “the happiest divorced couple in the world,” explaining about their living arrangements, “I’m lucky enough to be a guest at Royal Lodge,” which was described as “quite big.” She even added, “He’s that side and I’m this side.”

“They’ve kept that facade up very well,” Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail. “My feeling is that it was because they are extremely greedy.”

Andrew’s lease on Royal Lodge was recently published by The Times, showing that he has only been charged “one peppercorn (if demanded)” in rent each year since 2003. That has, reportedly, added to the general discontent from people in the know about Andrew and Fergie being allowed to stay in the property despite their numerous scandals.

Now, that’s over. The former Duke and Duchess of York will vacate Royal Lodge and now go their separate ways, as normal divorced couples do. But it doesn’t look like scandal will leave them alone, no matter where they hide.
