Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves fans finally got to see Street Fighter’s Chun-Li in action yesterday with her new gameplay trailer, but now it’s time to get an even better picture of what she’s capable of.
Thanks to SNK, we were able to get our hands on an early build of Fatal Fury featuring Chun-Li, and today we can show off almost 20 minutes of match footage for the strongest woman in the world.
To do this, we pitted the highest level CPU fighters against each other while also giving you a look at both of Chun’s costumes and their colors.
Through the Chun-Li mirror match, you can see that she retains most of her moves from Street Fighter 6, however, there is one big omission.
We can confirm that Chun in Fatal Fury is missing her Serenity Stream stance moves entirely, which is an interesting choice since they kept all of Ken’s run cancels previously.
To help make up for that at least, Chun-Li can perform combos that simply are not possible in Street Fighter like canceling REV Spinning Bird Kick into REV Aerial Lightning Kicks.
After the mirror match, we pitted Chun-Li against Mai, so you can get another look at their special chest-bumping intro using the former’s classic costume.
And then to close things out, the last Fatal Fury DLC character Joe Higashi steps into the ring to take her on as well.
So there’s no real shortage of cool things she has to show off here including a cool combo into her new Hidden Gear Super.
But do keep in mind, however, that this is an early build of the next big update, so some aspects of Chun-Li may be different in the final release.
You can check out our full video below to see all of Chun-Li in action, and stay tuned to EventHubs for more coverage of the Street Fighter guest character soon.
