Disney is bringing back a pre-merger Emmy tradition. The Walt Disney Company’s 2025 Emmy Awards celebration will be held Sunday night at the downtown Los Angeles event venue Vibiana, which hosted Fox Broadcasting Company, FX, National Geographic and 20th Century Fox Television’s Emmy afterparty for five consecutive years before the 2019 Disney acquisition of key Fox assets including FX, Nat Geo and 20th TV. Many of Disney’s current top TV executives, led by Dana Walden, came from Fox, making the move to the new Emmy venue a homecoming.
Netflix and Apple TV’s Emmy afterparties also are in new locations, while UTA is changing both the time and place of its Emmy bash, moving from a Friday to Sunday night. The agency is a partner alongside Brillstein Entertainment Partners in the late-night party hosted by this year’s Emmy host Nate Bargatze.
HBO Max, WME, Gersh and BAFTA’s Emmy receptions are staying put.
