The American channel MSNBC was interrupted for “breaking news” about Donald Trump as the show aired a tense clip from a press interview with the US President surrounded by journalists. One reporter said to the world leader: “You mention [losing] supporters when you are talking about the [Jeffrey] Epstein issue…” He then asked if Trump was saying he’s effectively disowning his supporters who still ask to see the Epstein files.
There’s been mounting pressure from Trump’s supporters to give more clarity on the sex crimes of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Trump replied: “I’ve lost a lot of faith in certain people, yeah.” He then took aim at the opposition, citing: “Yes, because they got duped by the Democrats.” The questioning comes after Vice President JD Vance tried to deflect criticism of the administration’s refusal to release the Jeffrey Epstein files by blaming the Democrats in an interview with Fox News.
He accused former President Joe Biden of doing “absolutely nothing” about the scandal when he was in power.
Vance added: “And now President Trump has demanded full transparency from this. And yet somehow the Democrats are attacking him and not the Biden administration, which did nothing for four years.”
During an MSNBC interview this weekend, former personal attorney for Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, was asked by hosts why Vance lied about an Epstein meeting taking place “when we all saw it was taking place at The White House”.
Cohen replied: “Because they can. Americans knowingly elected a king, and this king intends to use the full power of the executive branch to oppose political opponents.
“He doesn’t care whether or not you say, ‘Oh, they are hiding something’. He doesn’t care.
“As the king, the king sets the rules, and he sets how the game’s going to be played. And that’s what Donald Trump is doing right now.”
