The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed linebacker Matthew Judon and cornerback Cameron Dantzler Sr. The team also waived wide receiver Tarik Black and punter Ryan Stonehouse.
Black, who joined Miami’s practice squad on Oct. 23, 2024, has played in one game with the N.Y. Jets in 2021. He has spent time on the practice squad with Indianapolis (2021), N.Y. Jets (2022), Baltimore (2023) and Miami (2024). Black entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Indianapolis in 2021. He finished his collegiate career at Texas in 2020, appearing in eight games and recording 10 receptions for 240 yards (24.0 avg.) and a touchdown that year. Black transferred to Texas following the 2019 season from Michigan (2017-19). He finished his collegiate career with 29 games played, 50 receptions for 747 yards (14.9 avg.) and three touchdowns.
Dantzler Sr. has appeared in 37 career games with 26 starts in four seasons with Minnesota (2020-22) and New Orleans (2023), recording 148 tackles (125 solo), three interceptions, 17 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He entered the NFL as a third-round selection (89th overall) by Minnesota in the 2020 NFL Draft. Dantzler Sr. played collegiately at Mississippi State (2016-19), where he appeared in 35 career games with 22 starts and recorded 108 tackles (78 solo), five interceptions, 18 passes defensed, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in four seasons with the Bulldogs. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale.
Judon has appeared in 131 career games with 97 starts in nine seasons with Baltimore (2016-20), New England (2021-23) and Atlanta (2024). He has recorded 407 tackles (275 solo), 72.0 sacks, one interception returned for a touchdown, 19 passes defensed, nine forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in his career. His 72.0 sacks are tied for the eighth most among active players since he entered the league in 2016. Judon is a four-time Pro Bowl selection (2019-22) and has appeared in five postseason games with three starts. He entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection (146th overall) by Baltimore in the 2016 NFL Draft. Judon played collegiately at Grand Valley State (2012-15), where he appeared in 42 career games with 32 starts and finished as the school’s all-time leader with 35.0 sacks.
Stonehouse, who signed with Miami on March 17, 2025, has appeared in 46 career games in three seasons with Tennessee (2022-24). He has totaled 216 punts for 11,282 yards (52.2 avg.), including 80 punts inside the 20 and a 42.1 net average. He has also added three special teams tackles. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Tennessee in 2022 after a collegiate career at Colorado State (2017-21), where he appeared in 53 games and recorded 244 punts for 11,656 yards (47.8 avg.).
