Reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter’s stepson, Gregory Zecca, allegedly shot and killed his own 13-year-old son, Anthony, over the weekend, according to TMZ.
Zecca reportedly shot Anthony by accident on Saturday at the family’s apartment in Naples, Florida. Police haven’t made any arrests, calling it an “isolated incident,” but an investigation is ongoing. (A spokesperson for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the case, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Cut.)
Dog the Bounty Hunter — whose real name is Duane Chapman — is best known for starring in the A&E reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter. Zecca is the son of his wife, Francie Chapman, whom he married in 2021. Per TMZ, Zecca works as a member of Chapman’s bounty-hunting team.
In a statement to TMZ, representatives for Chapman and his wife asked for privacy as they navigate the death of their grandson and step-grandson. “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,” they said.
