Given just how popular Dispatch has turned out to be, we would have bet on a seemingly inevitable Season 2 being announced in the not-too-distant future.
But apparently, developer AdHoc Studio hasn’t actually thought that far ahead. Yet.
Speaking on the most recent Friends Per Second podcast, studio co-founders Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette admit that they’re “going to have to at least think about Season 2 now”.
Indeed, Shorette goes as far to say that the whole topic was a “question mark three weeks ago”, back before Dispatch had released — but things have obviously changed a lot since then.
The first season of Dispatch comes to an end in just a couple of days. The last two episodes, Episode 7 and Episode 8, launch on Wednesday the 12th November.
But hold on, what’s AdHoc even working on post-Dispatch? Well, the developer’s got another project in the oven right now. It’s a collaboration with Critical Role — the super popular tabletop group that helped produce Dispatch.
It sounds like this second project is still fairly early in terms of production, so it could actually be quite some time until we hear about a potential follow-up to Dispatch.
