Disney Dreamlight Valley Wishblossom Ranch expansion features & new characters

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s newest expansion has finally been announced, with Wishblossom Ranch officially following the success of A Rift in Time and Storybook Vale.

There may be tons to do in the base game of Disney Dreamlight Valley thanks to the countless updates bringing new characters, recipes, and adventures to the game, but there’s nothing quite like a good expansion, especially when it brings in a ton of new features.

Well, following on from Storybook Vale, we finally have a new expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, which promises to bring some thrilling new features, animals, and a few highly demanded characters along the way. So, to keep you up to speed, here’s all you need to know.

Does Wishblossom Ranch have a release date?

Unfortunately, no, despite being revealed during a special announcement video (which you can watch below), all we know is that it’ll release in November 2025.

However, we do know that a Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase Stream will take place on October 15, where we expect a release date to be announced.

New characters

Of course, one of the primary new elements coming in Wishblossom Ranch is the arrival of two new characters:

We know both of these will be introduced in one of the three biomes players can explore, and will have their own storylines and friendship quests, just like the other characters introduced in previous expansions, like Jafar or Merida, and Flynn Rider.

More characters have been teased to be arriving, but we’ll find out about that on October 15, when we’ll update this article.

New features

It’s not just new characters that players can look forward to. In fact, we’ll also be getting a huge feature: Mounts.

Naturally, as part of Wishblossom Ranch, players can expect to see various horse mounts made available, including Maximus from Tangled and many other recognisable additions.

What’s more, you can take care of these horses with daily feeding and brushing, alongside customization features and accessories. They can also learn new abilities and skills, complete special obstacle courses, and help players speed up their daily activities like gardening, mining, and village cleanup. All of which increase friendship levels and unlock rewards, like the newly added companion features.

The only trailer released was on September 3 in the form of the expansion announcement premiere. In it, we got a look into some of the new features, the look of the Ranch, and a glimpse at some of its residents. You can watch it below.
