Other problems that won’t be fixed with the upcoming hotfix will apparently require more time
The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection was released digitally on October 30, 2025. A physical release is currently set for December 12, 2025.
At launch, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection includes various versions of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat Trilogy (with improved loading times), Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, Mortal Kombat Advance, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (Game Boy Advance version only) and Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition.
However, it would seem that the launch of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has hit a few bumps. Users have reported a variety of issues that affect the playing experience of the Legacy Kollection.
Digital Eclipse recently acknowledged that they were aware of these problems. As such, they’ve promised that they’re working on a hotfix to start addressing these issues. More details about this hotfix will be released next week.
“We appreciate all the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection feedback we’ve received, including audio and lag issues. We’re planning a hotfix that should address multiple issues, while others will require more time,” said Digital Eclipse over on social media.
Of course, it’s important to note that this upcoming hotfix won’t be able to address everything as Digital Eclipse notes that they’ll need more time to take care of all the hurdles that have arisen with the launch. “We’ll have more details next week, but know that we’re aware and we’re working on it. Thank you!”
However, it would seem that Digital Eclipse is also hoping to be able to have a fix ready for the Steam version of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection out later today.
Heading into work soon and hoping to push out a quick fix for Steam for Legacy Kollection later today. Biggest focus is the online audio issue that people have been experiencing. Stay tuned for an update and thanks for the patience.
