It’s been a busy few months for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. Since getting engaged in December, they’ve released a joint album, hung out with Taylor Swift, gone on a whole mushy-gushy press tour together, and clogged their drains with several gallons of queso (presumably).
After all that, anyone would be hankering for a little getaway, and Gomez is no exception. Over the weekend, she was spotted at what was rumored to be her bachelorette party. In photos published by Deuxmoi and TMZ, Gomez was seen on a yacht in Cabo San Lucas with a bunch of girlfriends. The bride-to-be wore a black keyhole one-piece and tied her hair back in a low bun and later was seen pairing the look with some sheer white pants, brown boots, and sunglasses. Accompanying Gomez on the boat were her longtime friends Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cooke, and Courtney Lopez, as well as her cousin Priscilla Deleon. There was one notable person who wasn’t spotted at the event: Fans have pointed out that Swift was absent (though she was present at Gomez’s 33rd birthday party earlier this year).
Now, just because you go on a girls’ trip sometime after getting engaged doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bachelorette party. But we do have one major clue that this one could have been: Gomez’s fiancé was on a trip of his own at the same time. As Deuxmoi put it, Blanco went on a “luxurious boys’ trip” in Las Vegas over the weekend, where he was spotted at the five-star Wynn resort and casino with about 25 friends. If that’s not a bachelor party, I don’t want to know what is.
