Detroit Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals

CINCINNATI – For the first time this season, the Lions will have a new starter upfront along their offensive line.

Veteran left tackle Taylor Decker, who was downgraded from questionable to doubtful Sunday morning, is inactive and will not play today. Decker has been dealing with a shoulder injury. He’s missed most practices the first four weeks of the season to get his shoulder feeling good enough to play in the games. Hopefully a week of rest will go a long way in relieving some of the discomfort Decker’s been dealing with.

The Lions have options to start in Decker’s place at left tackle, but it will likely be second-year tackle Giovanni Manu making his first career start. Manu was drafted in the third round out of the University of British Columbia in last year’s NFL Draft.

Detroit is looking to extend their streak of not allowing a sack to a fourth straight game today.
