Brock Lesnar is back on WWE programming. But what does that mean for his contract since he’s been gone since 2023?
The wrestling world is still talking about the WWE return of Brock Lesnar, who shockingly returned to the company at the end of SummerSlam on Sunday evening.
With Lesnar being absent from WWE programming for two years, what is known about his current contract status with the company?
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar was never suspended by the company and was fully paid during his two years away from WWE. Making him one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the company to sit at home and do nothing.
Meltzer also stated that Lesnar was always going to return when legal cleared him. Which is why he was never released in the first place. WWE’s legal team cleared Lesnar to return roughly one month before SummerSlam.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
