Ken Masters is the next DLC character coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Thanks to SNK, we were recently able to release some exclusive footage that showcased Ken’s gameplay.
It would appear that Desk also gained early access to the upcoming DLC character for Fatal Fury. As such, he used this as an opportunity to demonstrate how an iconic fighting game moment is technically possible within the game.
Against B. Jenet, Desk has recreated “Evo Moment 37.” Instead of using Street Fighter 3: Third Strike’s parry system, he instead visualizes the scene using Fatal Fury’s “just defend” mechanic.
In this situation, Desk ensured that Ken’s life gauge was low enough so that if the character took any chip damage from B. Jenet’s super, it would end the match in her favor. Therefore, this was a “do or die” situation for Ken, just like how it was during Evo Moment 37.
By the end of it all, Desk is able to just defend against 10 hits from B. Jenet’s super. Following this, he responds by punishing with a neutral jump into Ken’s jump heavy kick. All of this eventually transitions into Ken’s super to finish off the match.
Of course, it’s worth mentioning that the scene just doesn’t feel right without Chun-Li. At some point, she’ll also be added as a DLC character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, so we’ll likely be revisiting Evo Moment 37 against within Fatal Fury once she joins the roster.
