Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys score predictions for Week 8

We’re riding high off the historic comeback win last week by the Denver Broncos and that may not bode well for them this week as they host the Dallas Cowboys. Teams coming off those kinds of highs tend to struggle the next week, but the Cowboys’ defense is just bad enough that it might give Denver enough chances to shake off the bad luck in this one.

Here’s how each of us predicted things would go individually:

The ever pessimist in me is rearing its ugly head today. I love Mile High Magic and got a strong dose of it last week, but I’ve been around long enough to know that you can’t live on that high for long before you come crashing back down to Earth. These close games are going to catch up to Denver eventually and it could happen this week, but I’m going to give Denver one more win before the snake bites. Besides, 6-2 has a nice ring to it. – Tim Lynch

Free will is an illusion. Life is a game that plays us. No one has a clue what is going to happen with this team. Maybe they play a game of baseball this week… – Sadaraine

This is a game I went back and forth about quite a bit trying to choose a winner. Dak Prescott is playing at an MVP level and even though the Broncos have a great defense, I am worried about his ability to carve up man coverage and escape pressure. Nevertheless, I feel confident that Denver, riding the highs of last week’s thrilling victory, will be prepared to face the Cowboys. I think the offense will get the run game going, be able to exploit weaknesses in Dallas’ secondary, and find a way to inch out a close victory in front of a hometown crowd. – Chris Hart

The Cowboys are a good offensive team. The Broncos are a good defensive team. I like it when teams that excel at opposing sides match up. This should be a fun chess match. The thing we are learning about the Broncos is that it might be best to take the under in games. I think they find a way to pull out a close low scoring game. – Adam Malnati

As sad said, we have no idea what will happen, especially with the Broncos offense. I don’t think this will actually be the score, so this is more paying tribute to one of the best games ever played. I do think the Broncos will win, however. But it’ll be close, which seems to be a trend for this team this season. – Ian St. Clair
