Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ divorce probably wasn’t a surprise to many Bravo TV fans, as there were always questions about their marriage when she appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Now, one of the possible reasons for their split has come to light.
Their finances, which were documented in Phypers’ divorce filing, were a significant issue, according to an Us Weekly source.
“She’s loved him for all he’s done and supported his dreams, but it’s also been a big financial burden on her that she can’t continue to carry,” a source explained. “It took a toll on both of them.” Her decision to turn to OnlyFans as a source of income “saved them financially,” and she became the sole breadwinner as he took more responsibilities around the house.

Even though Richards reportedly appreciated his efforts, “Denise has supported him financially, backed all his endeavors, and it’s been a drain on their finances.” Per court documents obtained by TMZ, the Wild Things star earns $250,000 per month from the adults-only platform, and Phypers’ lifestyle seems pretty luxurious.
The media outlet shared that Phypers “estimates that on average they spend $105,000 a month … including $20K on clothes, $18K on rent, $15K on eating out, $15K on entertainment, $10K on groceries and $8K on utilities.”
When her E! series, Denise Richards and the Wild Things, was announced in June 2024, there were hints about Phypers’ financial troubles. In Touch Weekly noted that his former frequency medicine healing center, Quantum Epigenetics Consulting, was sued by the Creditors Adjustment Bureau in 2022 for defaulting on a $190,000 business loan with $11,000 in interest.
Her show was recently canceled and will not return for a second season, per People.
Phypers is also being sued in a second unrelated case by Rupert Perry, whose late wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall, was using Richards’ husband to treat her cancer. “[Phypers] claimed that the treatment had a 98 percent success rate, and he was so confident in it that, if it did not work, he would refund to [Katsioula-Beall] and [Perry] fifty percent (of the money they [paid] to him for the treatment,” the suit read, per Us Weekly.
Katsioula-Beall paid Phypers $126,000, but the treatment did not work, and she passed away in May 2024, but not before asking for a refund, which he allegedly ignored.
