Hulu has dropped the official trailer for its upcoming limited series about the Murdaugh Murders from showrunner Michael D. Fuller, who co-created the project with Erin Lee Carr.
Murdaugh: Death in the Family stars Jason Clarke and Patricia Arquette as Alex and Maggie Murdaugh. The eight-episode limited series premieres October 15 with three episodes, with new episodes each Wednesday until the season finale on November 19.
Inspired by the Murdaugh Murders podcast, the limited series chronicles how Maggie and Alex, members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties, are tested after their son Paul (Johnny Berchtold) is involved in a deadly boat crash. As details come to light and new challenges emerge, the family’s connections to several mysterious deaths raise questions which threaten the familly.
The limited series also stars Will Harrison, Brittany Snow, J. Smith-Cameron, Gerald McRaney, and Noah Emmerich.
Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund for Eat the Cat are executive producers along with Mandy Matney, David Moses, and Bill Johnson. Steven Piet executive produced and directed episodes 101, 102, and 108. Arquette and Clarke also serve as executive producers.
UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
