(WJAR) — The Cumberland Fire Department responded to a tipped over dump truck at a Cumberland construction zone on Monday morning.
The department responded around 7:13 a.m. to 50 Lynch Place for the reported accident.
Responding officers found a heavy-duty quarry-type dump truck with a person inside.
The department says that wearing a seatbelt saved the victim from further injury, but that they had suffered a significant injury.
First responders used hydraulic rescue tools to free the victim.
Crews transported the victim to Rhode Island Hospital.
