Costco’s Newest Bakery Treat Has Fans Saying They ‘Could Eat the Entire Container’

Costco’s $5 rotisserie chicken gets all the praise, but it’s the recipe developers in the warehouse chain’s bakery who also deserve applause. Time after time, they create delicious treats that have us rushing to the bakery department first. It isn’t a visit to Costco without picking up something sweet, from cupcakes to layer cakes to muffins to tiramisu to croissants, and so much more.

Costco’s latest bakery item is an innovative, first-of-its-kind dessert that is a mix of two of my favorite treats ever. Shoppers on social media are already so excited to pick up this new find, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it, too.

In fact, I’m rushing from the office to my nearest Costco so I can enjoy these tonight.

Costco Adds New Marshmallow Crispy Cookies to Bakery

Picture the soft but crumbly texture of a sugar cookie mixed with the crunchy, sweet stickiness of Rice Krispies Treats, and you have Costco’s latest creation: Marshmallow Crispy Cookies. This dessert hybrid is super unique, and has us wondering what other delightful creations Costco’s bakery team will come up with next.

Each cookie features a brown butter dough with visible marshmallow bits and hidden pockets of crispy rice cereal throughout. It’s the perfect combo of our favorite treats, combined into something even better.

Costco shoppers who have tried the new bakery item are already singing its praises. “Probably the best cookie I have ever had,” said one fan on Instagram. “I’m going back for more STAT!”

And when @costcohotfinds posted a video of the new cookies, warehouse members were quick to offer ways to level up the dessert. One shopper suggested putting a cookie in the air fryer for a minute or two, likely to get the marshmallow bits nice and gooey. Another fan said they are getting marshmallow fluff and making a marshmallow cookie sandwich—yum! 

The cookies are sold in 24-count containers for $9.99, which is less than 50 cents per cookie. As always, we don’t know how long these will stick around, so make sure to grab a pack (or two) of what could be your new favorite cookie.
