Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion adds PS5 version, delayed to 2026

Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will launch for PlayStation 5 alongside its previously announced PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam) versions in 2026, publisher MAGES. announced. This is a delay from its previously planned 2025 release window.

“The development team is using the additional time to ensure that the next installment, introducing significant changes in perspective to enhance the immersive horror, lives up to the Corpse Party legacy and delivers the biggest frights yet,” said western publisher XSEED Games in a press release. “What’s more, the added time will also allow for the inclusion of a new PlayStation 5 version of the game to be released alongside the previously announced releases planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC via Steam.”
