Mario Lopez is hosting the 2025 Daytime Emmys from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Oct. 17, where many of your favorite soap opera stars and television programs took home coveted statuettes.
The winners of the 52nd annual ceremony were decided by the voting members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The event is airing live on the NATAS website beginning at 4 p.m. PT.
The Young and the Restless went into the night with a leading 19 noms, followed by General Hospital at 16 and Days of Our Lives at 13. All three soaps were up for Best Drama Series, and there were only three nominees this year due to a new rule regarding submissions.
Alley Mills (General Hospital) won the first award of the night for Best Drama Guest Performer, her second career Emmy. Soon after, that show’s writing team took home a trophy of their own. The supporting prizes went to Jonathan Jackson (General Hospital), his sixth victory, and first-time nominee Susan Walters (The Young and the Restless).
Competing in the Best Drama Actor race are Peter Bergman (The Young and the Restless), Eric Martsolf (Days of Our Lives), Greg Rikaart (Days of Our Lives), Paul Telfer (Days of Our Lives), and Dominic Zamprogna (General Hospital). The Best Drama Actress contest comprises Sharon Case (The Young and the Restless), Eileen Davidson (The Young and the Restless), Melissa Claire Egan (The Young and the Restless), Nancy Lee Grahn (General Hospital), Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless), and Laura Wright (General Hospital).
Other notable categories include Best Talk Series and Host, where Kelly Clarkson was hoping to add to her ever-growing mantelpiece. Drew Barrymore ended up winning the host category. Deborah Norville is receiving this year’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honor.
