The latest Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings were released following a wild Week 6 of college football. There were upsets, close calls and blowouts!
So as we usually say, it was a typical week of college football. One thing’s for sure, the rankings were shaken up so have fun debating these.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest Coaches Poll rankings. We’ll start at the top.
Ohio State dominated Minnesota to remain undefeated and are atop the Coaches Poll once again. Julian Sayin tossed three touchdowns and had 326 yards through the air.
Minnesota trailed 28-3 after the third quarter, so the Buckeyes just cruised to another win. They’ll hit the road to play Illinois next weekend.

Oregon had a bye week, so the Coaches Poll movement was out of their control this weekend. Still, the Ducks are unbeaten, fresh off a win over Penn State.
That might not age as well considering the Nittany Lions just lost to UCLA. But, Oregon can only control what it can control and they’re pretty darn good.
Miami rolled its way to a win over Florida State this weekend, staying undefeated and became the best team in the Sunshine State this year! FSU had a late rally but the Hurricanes held on.
Malachi Toney is the truth. The freshman wide receiver made the Seminoles’ defense look silly by reeling in seven passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns.
Ole Miss left the Coaches Poll movement up to, well, the coaches! The Rebels were off following a win over LSU.
But Lane Kiffin has this team rolling right now. It’s likely Trinidad Chambliss’ job at QB moving forward, despite Kiffin not exactly confirming if Austin Simmons is now the actual backup.

Texas A&M is firmly in the top 10 of the Coaches Poll following a win over Mississippi State. Make no mistake, this is an improved Bulldogs team, but the Aggies are superior.
A&M actually trailed 3-0 after the first quarter, but went on to win 31-9. Mike Elko and crew are still unbeaten at 5-0!
Oklahoma beat up on Kent State this weekend, 44-0. The biggest question is the health of QB John Mateer.
Brent Venables said there’s a good chance he won’t be able to play in Red River against rival Texas. With the Longhorns reeling after a loss, they’ll certainly have a fire lit underneath them. Can the Sooners manage until Mateer is back?
The Hoosiers had a week off but we’ll get a good measure of this team when they head to Oregon. They’re still a top 10 team in the Coaches Poll though, considering they’re undefeated.
Indiana and Curt Cignetti are a College Football Playoff contender again. But if they beat the Ducks on the road, they’ll skyrocket!

Alabama heard the noise about an undefeated Vanderbilt team and responded with authority. The Crimson Tide earned a 30-14 victory at home to win their fourth game in a row.
This is a bonafide top 10 team in the Coaches Poll at this rate. Ty Simpson outdueled Diego Pavia in a big spot and the Crimson Tide should be thinking about an SEC title once again.
Georgia bounced back in a big way with a 35-14 win over Kentucky. Following the disappointing loss to Alabama, the Bulldogs needed this one.
Gunner Stockton was responsible for three total touchdowns and the Bulldogs cruised in this game going into the fourth quarter. Onto the next one.
How about Texas Tech this week? The Red Raiders are now 5-0 following a win over Houston on the road, giving the Cougars their first loss.
So with that, welcome to the top 10 of the Coaches Poll! Joey McGuire has this team rolling as we near the halfway point of the season.
