CMF Headphone Pro are $99 over-ear headphones with bass slider

CMF by Nothing today launched CMF Headphone Pro, a pair of over-ear headphones that cost $99, pack flagship-tier features, and have a clever physical control setup that includes a slider to tune bass levels on the fly.

Following up Nothing Headphone (1) which launched earlier this year, CMF Headphone Pro is the first pair of headphones (not earbuds) from the sub-brand of Nothing. These new headphones have a couple key areas of focus, but the main one is physical controls.

Scattered across the design, you’ll find a button used for power and Bluetooth pairing, as well as a customizable “Action Button” that can be used to summon an AI assistant or turn on Spatial Audio, among other things. Then, like Nothing Headphone (1), there’s a roller button that controls volume, play/pause, and more. Finally, an “Energy Slider” can be used to adjust the sound quality to favor bass or treble on the fly. It’s a unique offering, as most headphones will require you to make that adjustment in a companion app.

The design here also allows for CMF Headphone Pro to swap out its earcups with multiple different finishes, with the headphones themselves available in dark grey, light grey, and light green colorways with matching earcups, as well as an orange option. Extra cushions cost $25.

Looking at the rest of what CMF Headphone Pro bring to the table, Nothing says you get 40mm drivers, LDAC support, both Bluetooth (with Fast Pair) and wired connectivity, and up to 100 hour battery life (50 hours with ANC).

CMF Headphone Pro are available for pre-order today for $99 in the US (£79 / €99 in UK and Europe, respectively), though they’re getting a launch discount to $84 on Nothing’s website in the States. They’re also available on Amazon, with both shipping on October 7.
