Chun-Li is gearing up to join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as the next guest character, and it’s time to know what tools she’ll have at her disposal for this crossover.
SNK has already released Chun-Li’s gameplay trailer plus we’ve shared 20 minutes of match footage for the Street Fighter 6 icon, but now we have her full movelist to show off as well.
Like Ken Masters before her, it seems SNK has managed to bring in all of Chun-Li’s different normals from Street Fighter 6 by making a good chunk of them command normals.
So players are going to have to be very mindful of their inputs to make sure they’re getting the moves they want to come out.
As for her specials, Chun has retained basically everything from her Street Fighter 6 kit, and some of them can be used in new ways.
The strongest woman in the world has access to her signature Kikoken, Hundred Lightning Kicks on the ground or in the air, Spinning Bird Kick, Hazanshu, and Tensho Kicks.
One thing that’ll set her apart from her SF6 incarnation is Chun’s ability to Brake her Tensho Kicks, Hazanshu, and lightning legs to open up new combo opportunities.
On top of that, she can Feint her Kikoken and lightning legs though it seems like the fireball will be the one to use for combos.
SNK made some changes to Chun’s traditional inputs as well with Kikoken being a standard quarter-circle forward motion instead of the usual charge while Tensho Kicks can be performed with either down, down or Dragon Punch inputs.
There is one glaring omission from her Street Fighter 6 kit, however, and that is Chun-Li does not have her Serenity Stream stance moves at all, which is an interesting choice.
On one hand, it makes playing Chun-Li less complex, but on the other, some players liked that extra layer of depth she gained in SF6.
Chun-Li’s Ignition and Redline Gear Supers are Kikosho and Hoyoku-sen with the latter’s Redline version able to be Brake canceled before the final hit for even more combo extensions.
And finally, her Hidden Gear is called Seven Star Shining Kicks, which appears to technically be new though also a combination of some of her past moves too.
You can check out Chun-Li’s full and extensive movelist for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves below ahead of her arrival this Winter.
