Christina Applegate has been hospitalized with “so much pain” she was “screaming” as a result of an infection in both kidneys.
The 53-year-old “Married… With Children” actor revealed the ordeal as she recorded MeSsy, the podcast she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, from an L.A. hospital on Tuesday.
“I’m not doing a podcast from the hospital because I felt like doing one from the hospital was an awesome idea,” she explained on the Aug. 5 episode. “We just happened to have this scheduled and they won’t let me leave yet because things are messy. But I’m gonna be OK.”
While in Europe visiting family, Applegate said she began to feel unwell. On the flight back from Europe, she explained, Applegate didn’t feel well and went to the hospital.
“I’m like, I wanna be admitted,” Applegate said, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. “I’m staying here because I want answers. I want every test that you can possibly think of or ones that you haven’t even thought of, and I want them done.”
The next day, she said, the pain was “radiating” from the back to her front.
“So much pain. I’m screaming, and they ordered me an emergency CT at 2 in the morning,” she said.
