Christina Aguilera revived one of her 2000s-era looks for her latest public appearance. On Monday, the “Dirrty” singer touched down in London to celebrate the West End premiere of Burlesque: The Musical, based on her 2010 film co-starring Cher.
Aguilera rewore a green lingerie-inspired Versace dress from the label’s fall 2003 collection. She modeled the same look in Versace’s campaign that season, in which she went bare-faced to pose for famed photographer Steven Meisel.

This time around, the Grammy winner remixed her look with gothic makeup, including a pop of black lipstick. Knee-high black leather boots and her signature platinum blonde hair completed her outfit.
Aguilera is hardly the only star to favor this particular Versace design: Beyoncé famously wore the lace-up frock at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards, while more recently, it’s been selected by the likes of nepo baby Iris Apatow and It girl Devon Lee Carlson.

In April, Aguilera evoked her ’90s roots as the covergirl of Carcy Magazine. In a clip posted to Instagram, she pairs a white baby tee with black leggings, which are layered under white underwear.
In an additional video, Aguilera switches between half a dozen Y2K-style outfits, including a sheer polka-dot dress, a white dress shirt and tie, and a shirt-leggings combo complete with a slouchy statement belt. She captioned them “work & play 💋” and “lemme serve @carcymagazine,” respectively.
“The way I can see your different eras in this! Queen! Icon! Legend! 😍” one fan commented, while another gushed, “Mama proving she doesn’t need photoshop ❤️🔥.”
Aguilera’s most recent English-language album, Liberation, was released back in 2018 (Aguilera came out in Spanish in 2022). Thus, many fans were quick to wonder whether the Carcy photoshoot was a hint that a new album, and with it, a new era for Xtina. Last year marked the 25th anniversary of her self-titled debut album.
